Association for the Rehabilitation of the Physically Disabled (ARPD)
The Association for the Rehabilitation of the Physically Disabled (ARPD) is a legally registered nonprofit organization in Pakistan, dedicated to the holistic empowerment of marginalized communities. Since our founding in 1986, we have grown from a small community initiative into an established institution delivering rehabilitation, education, and humanitarian services to communities in need.
Our work spans rehabilitation and clinical care, prosthetics & orthotics, inclusive education, vocational skills training, community relief, and para sports — reaching thousands of beneficiaries annually across multiple provinces. By addressing the full spectrum of human need, ARPD is building a more equitable, dignified, and inclusive Pakistan for all.

Professional NPO Welfare
A commitment to dignity, inclusion, and professional care for all.
Our mission is to improve the lives of people from underdeveloped and vulnerable communities with a special focus on persons with disabilities. We exist to transform lives and are driven by a commitment to social justice. Our goal is to empower deserving individuals by providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to lead lives of dignity, independence, and inclusion.
At ARPD, our vision is a world where every individual, regardless of their physical abilities or background, enjoys equal opportunities and a life of dignity. Through innovative programs and collaborative efforts, we envision societies where barriers are broken down, obstacles are eliminated, and diversity is embraced. Together, we will build a brighter future, where the potential of every person is realized and inclusivity is the norm.
Compassion — Inclusion — Equity — Integrity — Community Empowerment
At ARPD, these values are not aspirations — they are the foundation of everything we do. We lead with empathy, champion belonging, ensure fair access for all, uphold transparency in our operations, and invest in communities so that those we serve can build lasting independence and dignity for themselves.Professional Services
Located at Umeedabad No. 2, Swati Gate, Peshawar, ARPD's center is the heart of our operations — a fully equipped facility serving marginalized communities through a wide range of free-of-cost programs. It is where rehabilitation, inclusive education, vocational training, and opportunity come together under one roof.
Our outpatient department serves up to 100 patients daily, offering physical, occupational, speech, and psychological therapies tailored to each individual's needs.
For those requiring extended care, our 50-bed inpatient ward provides round-the-clock support along with free accommodation and meals.
Our orthopedic workshop fabricates custom prosthetics, orthotics, and mobility aids entirely free of charge for those in need.
Under our AISS, children from marginalized backgrounds receive a quality education in a welcoming, barrier-free environment.
A dedicated facility where marginalized women and persons with disabilities develop practical, market-ready skills to achieve sustainable economic independence.
A trusted collaboration helping transform lives across Pakistan through compassion, transparency, and sustainable support.
ARPD's work is made possible in large part through its partnership with Helping Hearts, Caring Souls (HHCS), a U.S.-based not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID: 47-4419059) founded by Anjum Anwar.
HHCS was established to mobilize charitable support from donors across the United States for underserved communities in Pakistan. Under a formal Memorandum of Understanding, HHCS raises and manages tax-deductible donations in the U.S. and channels those funds to ARPD in support of rehabilitation, education, vocational training, and community relief initiatives.
This partnership is built on trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to human dignity. Together, HHCS and ARPD ensure that every donation creates meaningful impact for individuals and families who need it most.
